Ce livre sur l'implémentation de MOSS 2007 s'adresse à toutes les personnes qui interagissent dans l'entreprise, du Directeur Général au Directeur du Système d'Information, en passant par les Chefs de produits, les Chefs de projets ainsi que les populations qui interviennent lors de la mise en place de MOSS 2007 et notamment les Administrateurs Système et les utilisateurs. Le livre est organisé en six parties. Après le préambule, la première partie présente MOSS 2007 et les avantages de son fonctionnement avec SQL Server 2008 sur Windows Server 2008. La seconde partie détaille les étapes indispensables de la Gouvernance liées à SharePoint 2007 sur lesquelles repose une solution pérenne. Ces étapes mettent en lumière tant la souplesse d'administration que celle d'utilisation de MOSS 2007 et de WSS v3 et mettent en exergue les rôles et fonctions des parties prenantes par rapport à la décision prise en amont, la mise en place du projet et sa mise en uvre technique. La troisième partie est orientée sur l'installation d'un environnement SharePoint, pas à pas, sur IIS 7.0 (sur un Windows Server 2008) avec SQL Server 2008. Y figurent l'introduction à Windows Server 2008, IIS 7.0, SQL Server 2008, SharePoint Server 2007 et aux outils PowerShell. La quatrième partie présente la réelle valeur ajoutée de MOSS 2007 avec Windows Server 2008, en termes de performances et de synergie, notamment avec les paramétrages de l'administration MOSS 2007. La cinquième partie décrit l'exploitation de SharePoint, ses spécificités mais aussi les limites de l'interface utilisateur et les synergies d'utilisation que l'on peut attendre. Enfin, la sixième partie porte sur la sécurité et la gestion des comptes et rôles de SharePoint avec ses particularités. Les auteurs interviennent chacun à des niveaux différents sur un projet d'implémentation d'une solution Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, de la décision définitive jusqu'aux livrables. Cette triple compétence leur permet de fournir au lecteur un guide indispensable pour la réussite pleine et entière d'un tel projet.

Coordinateur de projet ?

Un nouveau métier aux désignations variées. Un titre controversé, d’ailleurs. Coordinateur ou directeur de projet ? Responsable de l’organisation ? Directeur de programmes ? Les désignations se multiplient.

Voici une définition possible de ce métier: "il s’agit de coordonner l’ensemble des moyens et des conséquences en fonction des objectifs fixés".

Si les différents interlocuteurs s’accordent sur le rôle à jouer, ils peinent à s’entendre sur la notion même de métier associé: métier en interim, suggère l’un, chargé de mission, répond un autre.

Mais d’où vient ce nouveau besoin et pourquoi ne pas se contenter d’un classique chef de projet, comme on l’a fait durant des années ? Pour plusieurs raisons.
