The SharePoint Capacity Planning Tool is a set of free models of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS) and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS). The two models use the analysis and simulation features of System Center Capacity Planner 2007 (SCCP) to help you explore suitable IT infrastructure options for your SharePoint deployment, based on the SharePoint usage requirements for your organization that you provide to the tool. It can give you a head start on planning your SharePoint topology by producing a first approximation of the topology your organization needs. Architects, systems integrators, and deployment engineers will find it to be a valuable starting point for further refinements of the topology.

The SharePoint 2007 Test Data Population Tool (WSSDW.exe) is a capacity planning and performance testing tool that populates data for testing SharePoint deployments. The SharePoint 2007 Test Data Population Tool is available as a command-line executable program that extracts information about how to populate the server from an XML configuration file, and calls Microsoft .NET assembly: WSSDWLib.dll. The tool is explained in the article, Plan capacity by using the SharePoint 2007 Test Data Population Tool.
Use this tool to populate test data for SharePoint capacity planning. Also included are some sample test scripts that can be used for performance and load testing SharePoint and Excel Services with the test data. These tools are being provided as is and there is no ongoing support for these tools. Please send email to sptdata@microsoft.com with feedback.
Excel Services performance testing samples have now beed added as a download. These samples include about a dozen performance testing scripts and are based on the "Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Testers" performance testing tool.

Ca faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas eu le plaisir de voir Erol. La réunion s'est fait comme d'habitude chez Microsoft, rue de l'Université. Il y avait également la réunion du Club Exchange où Damien Caro a fait une présentation d'OCS R2 .. Sniff je n'ai pas pu y aller !Lors de la première conférence,Sonia a fait une présentation des différentes certifications SharePoint, c'est à dire les 2 certifications IT (70-630 et 631) et les 2 autres certifications Dev dont je ne connais pas les numéros :-o

Effectivement il y a 4 certifications plus une aux USA (MCA).

Managing compliance issues imposed by regulations and statutory requirements can be difficult to reconcile with regulations and standards such as PCI DSS, ISO 27002, AICPA GAPP, and COBIT. The Compliance Management Series (a MOF–based expansion of the Regulatory Compliance Planning Guide) provides Standards of Care and simple checklists to help you configure Microsoft products to address Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) requirements. Standards of Care simplify complex categories such as Asset Management, Compliance Management, and Risk Management, and clarify how to configure Microsoft products quickly and effectively for these categories. Exemple de modèle : Plan de gouvernance de produits et de technologies SharePoint

La gouvernance est l'ensemble de rôles, de responsabilités et de processus que vous mettez en place dans une entreprise pour guider le développement et l'utilisation d'une solution basée sur les produits et technologies SharePoint. Dans le cadre de votre planification de gouvernance, vous devez identifier les équipes et les personnes qui constitueront le corps de gouvernance qui définit l'étendue et les objectifs de la gouvernance dans votre organisation. Le corps de gouvernance doit ensuite déterminer la stratégie de gouvernance de l'organisation, élaborer les politiques qui mettront en œuvre la stratégie et déterminer comment cette stratégie sera appliquée à l'échelle de l'entreprise.

Cet exemple de modèle est conçu pour aider le corps de gouvernance à enregistrer ses choix, notamment les objectifs de gouvernance, les parties prenantes, les stratégies, le support et les autres éléments du plan de gouvernance.

Vous demandez ce dont-il s'agit ! Voici une définition : La gouvernance des systèmes d'information (IT Governance) permet d'aligner le système d'information (SI) (tactique) sur les métiers de l'entreprise (stratégie); l'objectif est de piloter et contrôler la participation du SI à la création de richesse. Le SI est un investissement; l'enjeu est de mesurer le Retour sur investissement. source WIKIPEDIA.

Si pour chaque implantation on va suivre cette procédure, pas mal 'd'erreur' pourraient être évitées. L'implantation d'un moteur de recherche ne va pas exempter l'expert et son client de cette approche.

Ensuite il faut lire l'article de Christian (MVP).... La gouvernance SharePoint - MOSS.... et moi.... et la création d'un SLA (Service Level Agreements)... Le tableau est intéressant.
