Those who view SharePoint as primarily a technology subject, including some within Microsoft itself, will undoubtedly continue to adopt the technology-focused approach to SharePoint governance. The current spate of whitepapers and blog article features on SharePoint governance supports this techno-centric biased mantra. Then again a number of the thought-leaders are finally taking an increasingly business-centric view of SharePoint and as such the focus is gradually shifting to the business governance of SharePoint, where the technological governance areas are purely a subset.
