Ce billet est le premier d’une série sur le développement SharePoint pour mettre le pied à l’étrier à un développeur voulant démarrer le développement d’une application métier sur la plateforme SharePoint.

Pour ce premier billet, et même si cela sera un peu une liste à la Prévert, il me paraît important de bien faire la différence entre les fonctionnalités de version gratuite SharePoint: Windows SharePoint Services (WSS), qui s’installe comme un simple add-on gratuit à Windows Server (2003, 2008 & 2008 R2) et la version payante: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) qui offre des fonctionnalités supplémentaires construites au dessus de WSS.

Powershell is a command line interface for Windows that offers a very powerful and flexible model.
It is now a feature included with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, not an optional download as before.
In this post, I show some sample commands that can help you understand some of the basic features and a few more complex ones. 
If you never played with it before, try running some commands in a PowerShell prompt.

Le livre est organisé en six parties. Après le préambule, la première partie présente MOSS 2007 et les avantages de son fonctionnement avec SQL Server 2008 sur Windows Server 2008. La seconde partie détaille les étapes indispensables de la Gouvernance liées à SharePoint 2007 sur lesquelles repose une solution pérenne. Ces étapes mettent en lumière tant la souplesse d'administration que celle d'utilisation de MOSS 2007 et de WSS v3 et mettent en exergue les rôles et fonctions des parties prenantes par rapport à la décision prise en amont, la mise en place du projet et sa mise en uvre technique.
