En conclusion, cette version 2010 apporte réellement de nombreuses améliorations, tant du point de vue des corrections sur les fonctionnalités dont l'implémentation posait problème dans la version 2007 : par exemple la double saisie des temps entre la Feuille de temps et l'affichage Mes tâches, que par les fonctionnalités entièrement nouvelles.

Ces nouvelles fonctionnalités et l'incorporation totale de Project Portfolio font de Microsoft EPM 2010 une version très attendue par tous professionnels concernés par la gestion de projets.

Il peut arriver dans la gestion d’une ferme SharePoint un cas de catastrophe :

• Crash de serveur (matériel ou logiciel)
• Erreur ou plantage en cas d’update
• autre cas étrange (ce fut mon cas)
• …

Dans ce contexte, on se retrouve avec les bases de contenu SharePoint :

• Soit onLine si le Serveur (ou le service) SQL n’a pas été touché
• Soit les dernières sauvegardes

Remote Desktop Web Access (RD Web Access) is a role service in the Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system that enables users to access RemoteApp programs, session-based desktops, or virtual desktops from a Web site. By default, the RD Web Access Web site enables you to point to a single Remote Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server or to a single RD Session Host server farm to populate the list of RemoteApp programs that appear on the site. If you have multiple RD Session Host servers or multiple RD Session Host server farms, you can use Windows SharePoint Services to create a single Web access point for RemoteApp programs, session-based desktops, or virtual desktops.

Patching a mirrored farm with minimal downtime

For administrators of large SharePoint server farms, a newly-published article describes how to update server farms that use database mirroring, while incurring minimal perceived downtime for users. This solution is for enterprise customers who have high-availability needs and infrastructure. The article describes a step-by-step process for Office SharePoint Server farms that incorporate SQL Server mirroring. You can achieve similar results on Office SharePoint Server farms that are set up in a clustered server environment.

In brief, the solution requires that you:

· Disable mirroring and set the mirror databases to read-only

· Route network and database traffic to the read-only databases

· Apply software updates to the offline servers

· Route network and database traffic to the updated servers

· Apply software updates to the secondary farm

· Re-enable mirroring and set the mirrored databases to read/write

Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 est une version de Windows SharePoint 2007 avec une intégration poussée du travail en équipe avec la suite Office 2007. Windows SharePoint étant lui-même le successeur de SharePoint 2003 et de Portal Server 2003 pour ceux qui connaissent déjà. Pour ce qui est des nouveautés de la version 2007 par rapport à la version 2003 elles sont nombreuses je vous invite à aller directement voir le site de Microsoft pour les connaitre en détail, mais nous pourrons noter l’ajout d’une corbeille multi-niveaux, une meilleure gestion des permissions, des sites…, l’intégration de workflows, et une conception native qui permettra en général de soulager des services informatiques souvent débordés. Pour ceux d’entre vous qui ne connaissent par SharePoint (et plus particulièrement la version Office) est un produit Microsoft qui s’installe sur Windows Server, utilise IIS, Active Directory et SQL Server de manière à générer automatiquement des environnements de travail complets avec gestion des flux de travail, des bibliothèques de documents, des forums, des wiki, tchat etc. Le tout bénéficie d’une intégration optimale avec la suite Office 2007.
